I’ve never been a fan of online stores because I get easily confused by the overwhelming amount of goods on each page in a store. And there are LOTS of pages in online stores. Sometimes it feels like my head is going to explode. But there is a way to make online shopping more comfortable.
To narrow down a range of options, I describe what I want to get in a few words, and that helps a lot. For example, for one shopping evening I look only for earrings in classical style or golden necklaces.
To make your shopping easier, I’ve prepared a short list of 5 pieces of jewelry that are good for every age and style. You’re welcome. *wink*
Classical jewelry is about basic metals like gold and silver, simple shapes, clean cuts, and minimal detailing. Quality is at the essence of classic style. And it is the quality of a piece that ultimately makes it timeless, something that you can return to again and again. Something you can keep for years, even decades because it will last.
It is no coincidence that a classic style is called this way. Expressing the ideals of generations that lived before us, classical style is flawless and simple.
Hoops are a fashion staple that every woman should have in her drawer. I have three pairs of them.
According to The New York Times, hoop earrings date back to the fourth century, when they were first introduced by the Nubians in what is now present-day Sudan, Africa. Both Egyptian men and women wore them, including members of the royalty, queens and pharaohs such as Nefertiti, Hatshepsut, Tutankhamen, and Cleopatra.
Hoops extremely vary in size. I suggest wearing smaller hoops to formal occasions, and for casual days you can choose any size you want. There are even hoops that touch your shoulders with their lower part! That is very exotic, to my taste, but you may feel differently.
Along with size, hoops are different in encrusting and width. For more relaxed occasions, try wearing silver hoops with blue crystals, and when it is needed to be focused, wear golden wavy hoops.
Multi-layered necklaces have been the trend of the latest years.
Two layers is the minimum. Try combining a simple silver chain with a two-pendant necklace to have an airy yet elegant look on top of your dress or blouse. To be even more dramatic, add a choker to the composition. Play with metal finishes and styles of your chains to create contrast and add depth.
Another interesting example of the stacking trend is a body chain that wraps around your neck, sides and back, creating a sort of a web. This option is quite provocative so I suggest wearing it only to very informal occasions like parties or hanging out with friends.
You may not be able to wear a body chain to work but you can certainly wear a choker or a string of pearls with your favorite sweater. Maybe you can’t decide which length chain to wear in the morning. The solution? Wear them both!
Studssss! This type of earrings is my favorite. I can’t imagine myself without them because studs are perfect for every day, I mean, for EVERY day, starting from a normal routine day ending with galas and parties. Small but shiny, studs are ideal to highlight your elegance and sense of style.
For starters, try basic silver pill studs to test how you’re feeling with this type of earrings. If it seems to you that they are too small or shy for your style, you can wear romantic crystal studs or daring nail-shaped studs for a bolder look. It is completely up to you what style you choose. As for me, I prefer romantic and classic styles, but there are times when I am feeling risky and wear minimalistic jewelry.
If you are open to new, try putting on the distinctive studs with red amber from the Monaco collection. Amber is a unique gemstone because it is, well, not a gemstone. It is a polymerised tree sap. It carries the warm energy of prehistoric evergreen trees, giving you confidence and comfort.
Although people still argue if watches can be considered jewelry, they are definitely a must for every person. Showing everyone your confidence and attention to detail, a watch may be that accessory that your outfit is lacking.
